Cyprus weather: 38 degrees and a hot weekend. Nights much cooler
The weather in Cyprus will remain typically summer-like on Friday. Temperatures will rise to 38°C inland, around 33°C on the coast, and around 28°C in the highest parts of the Troodos Mountains. Skies will be mostly clear.
However, there will be a significant difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures. In central Cyprus, thermometers will show around 18°C in the evening and early morning, which is up to 20 degrees lower than at the warmest point of the day.

Up to 38 degrees inland
Cyprus is under the influence of a seasonal low-pressure system. No precipitation or significant cloud cover is expected on Friday, but winds may reach force 5 in some areas.
As usual, the central part of the island will be the warmest. Temperatures at the seaside are expected to be about five degrees lower, while in the mountains the difference will be as much as ten degrees.
Fog possible at night
The night from Friday to Saturday will be mostly clear, although there may be periods of low clouds. Localized fog or mist is possible in the morning.
The temperature will drop to approximately:
- 18°C in the central part of the island,
- 22°C on the coast,
- 17°C in the highest parts of the mountains.
People going to the mountains in the evening or early in the morning should remember that despite a very warm day, conditions will be significantly cooler there.
