Polish schools in Cyprus begin enrollment. New year in Paralimni and Nicosia

Two Polish schools in Cyprus are preparing for the 2026/2027 school year. Classes in Paralimni and Nicosia will begin on Saturday, September 19th. The schools are still accepting applications, but in Paralimni, places are limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The program includes Polish language instruction and elements of Polish history, geography, traditions, and culture. An additional group is being launched in Nicosia for children and teenagers who don't speak Polish or are just beginning to learn it.

Registration for the Polish language school in Paralimni

The Paralimni Polish Language School will start the new school year on Saturday, September 19The facility announced that registration is still ongoing, but the number of available spaces is strictly limited.

Children's enrollment is determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents interested in participating in classes should contact the school as soon as possible.

The school emphasizes that its activities are intended to help children maintain contact not only with the Polish language, but also with Polish traditions and peers growing up in Cyprus.

Classes are held in Paralimni at Agelou Sikelianou 2.

Polish School Cyprus starts classes in Nicosia

Also on Saturday, September 19th, the new school year will begin at the Polish School of Cyprus, led by Anna Wagner. The first classes in Nicosia are scheduled for 9:00 a.m..

Lessons take place in the building Lykavitou Primary School at Doiranis 12 in Nicosia.

The program includes Polish language, history, geography, and cultural elements. Classes are held on Saturdays and complement the children's daily education in Cypriot or English-speaking schools.

A new feature this year is the opportunity to start learning from scratch. This offer is aimed at children and teenagers who have no knowledge of Polish or only limited knowledge of it.

The school has been operating since 2016 and uses a program and materials intended for Polish educational institutions abroad.

Why might Saturday school be important?

Children growing up in Cyprus often primarily speak Greek or English. Polish remains the language spoken at home, but without regular instruction, writing, reading, and acquiring a more extensive vocabulary can be more challenging.
