Michał Cessanis has been returning to Cyprus for years. He's been here more than a dozen times.
Michał Cessanis once again took Polish viewers to Cyprus. On August 2, 2026, TVN Style aired the Cypriot episode of the program "Do widzenia" (See You Soon), in which the journalist and traveler showcased various sites on the island. The station promoted the program by saying that Cessanis visited "stunning places" there.
For the host, however, this isn't just another random destination on a long travel list. Back in 2023, National Geographic reported that Michał Cessanis visited Cyprus 14 times and knows the island at different times of the year. Since then, Cyprus has reappeared in his work, so his connection with the island goes far beyond a single television episode.
He had already made 14 visits a few years ago
Cessanis has long made no secret of his fondness for Cyprus. In an interview published by National Geographic in May 2023, he indicated that he had already visited the island 14 times. He spoke about the local hospitality, cuisine, and why the island is worth visiting even outside of peak season.
Cessanis hasn't publicly disclosed the current total number of visits, at least we haven't been able to find a more recent statement on the subject. However, it's certain that his interest in Cyprus didn't end with these 14 trips.
This summer, the island once again became the hero of his program "See You Soon" on TVN Style.
Paphos, Troodos and off-the-beaten-path destinations
Cessanis has previously introduced Cyprus to Polish viewers. In the fall of 2022, he prepared material from Paphos and its surroundings for "Dzień Dobry TVN." He visited, among other places, the upper part of the city, the Akamas Peninsula, and the Avakas Gorge, and also highlighted the Troodos Mountains.
The next installment of his Cypriot journey took him to Vouni. Instead of focusing on beaches and large resorts, he showcased the small village and its local cuisine. He observed, among other things, the preparation of traditional bread and halloumi.
It's the less obvious places that often appear in his materials. He himself has previously emphasized that he particularly enjoys exploring Cyprus off the beaten track.
Cyprus back on TVN Style
In the summer of 2026, the island was included in the "See You Soon" program. The format, led by Cessanis, focuses not only on attractions but also on food, accommodations, transportation, and travel costs.
On August 2, TVN Style invited viewers to the Cypriot episode, also publishing fragments of the trip on its social media.
For someone who visited the island 14 times a few years ago, it's hard to call it a first-time visit. Cessanis is more likely one of those Polish travelers who return regularly, each time trying to show visitors something more than the most famous beaches and resorts.
The material was prepared based on public materials by Michał Cessanis, National Geographic Polska, Dzień Dobry TVN and TVN Style.
