Kuba Szmajkowski recorded in Limassol. Two of his 4Dreamers music videos were shot there.

Kuba Szmajkowski is one of the most recognizable young vocalists in Poland today. Before embarking on a solo career, he performed in the popular boy band 4Dreamers. It is from this period that his interesting Cypriot legacy comes.

In 2018, Szmajkowski and the other members of 4Dreamers visited Limassol. The trip didn't end with a vacation. The Cypriot locations were used to film two of the band's music videos – "Też tak masz" (You're Too Young) and "Dni" (Days).

4Dreamers was formed after the first season of "The Voice Kids." The group consisted of Kuba Szmajkowski, Mateusz Gędek, Maksymilian Więckowski, and Tomasz Gregorczyk.

In 2018, the group was at the beginning of their career. In May, they released their debut album, "4Dreamers," and just a few weeks later, fans were able to see one of the music videos recorded during their trip to Cyprus.

Filming took place in Limassol. For the young musicians, it was also one of their first trips abroad together.

However, Cyprus quickly proved to be more than just a place for a short stay.

On June 1, 2018, the official music video for the song "Toż tak masz" premiered.

The clip featured footage shot during the band's stay in Limassol. The holiday atmosphere of southern Cyprus perfectly complemented 4Dreamers' light, summery material.

This music video was one of the first results of the band's trip abroad.

The story didn't end there, however.

The second music video was made during the same Cypriot trip.

On August 24, 2018, 4Dreamers showed another video – this time for the song "Dni".

Universal Music Polska stated directly at the premiere that the music video was shot during the band's trip to Cyprus.

Interestingly, the members of 4Dreamers themselves co-wrote the video's script. For Maks, Tomek, Kuba, and Mateusz, it was the first time they had ever played such a role.

The material again includes shots from Limassol, thanks to which the band's single trip left behind two musical traces related to Cyprus.

Who is Kuba Szmajkowski?

Kuba Szmajkowski became known to the general public as a participant in the first edition of "The Voice Kids", in which he reached the final.

After the show, he became one of the four members of 4Dreamers. The group released two studio albums, both of which received Fryderyk nominations.

After the band disbanded, Szmajkowski embarked on a solo career. He released songs such as "Nieskończone" and "Lovesick," competed in the Polish Eurovision Song Contest, and in 2023 won the 19th season of "Twój Twarz Brzmi Znajomo."

The Cypriot stage of his career took place much earlier – when the whole of Poland was still getting to know the four young vocalists who made up 4Dreamers.

Before the solo career came, there was Limassol

Today, Kuba Szmajkowski's name exists independently of the band with which he began his musical journey.

However, it is worth going back to 2018.

It was then that the young singer came to Limassol with 4Dreamers, and his stay in Cyprus left behind something much more lasting than holiday photos.

Two music videos were created, which can still be viewed on the band's official channels.

For the residents of Limassol, watching them after all these years can have another interesting dimension. Places that for millions of viewers were simply exotic backdrops for a Polish music video, for us, are part of the city's everyday landscape.
