Does a stroller fly free, what baggage allowance is an infant allowed, and what can you take on board? Check the most important rules before traveling between Poland and Cyprus.

The most important: A free stroller doesn't automatically mean an extra suitcase for your child. Strollers, car seats, and personal luggage are billed according to different rules.
Baby stroller on a plane
A foldable stroller is typically carried in the hold. At many airports, you can use it until you board the plane, but the final decision rests with airport staff. Sometimes, you'll have to leave the stroller at the check-in desk.
Designation
At check-in, ask for a luggage tag for your stroller and ask where to leave it.
Control
The stroller may need to be folded and passed through a security scanner.
By the plane
Fold the stroller, empty the basket and remove all loose items.
After arrival
Pick-up can take place at the aircraft, at the conveyor belt or at the oversized baggage point.
How to secure the stroller?
- remove the headband, cup holder and other loose parts,
- empty the basket under the seat,
- lock the folding mechanism,
- use the cover and place your contact details in it,
- take photos before returning the stroller.
Car seat
A car seat can be transported as a child's seat or used on board if the child has their own seat and the specific model is approved by the airline. Car approval alone is not always sufficient for using a car seat on an airplane.
What luggage is a child entitled to?

Food and fluids for your baby
Milk, water for preparing food, and food needed by your child during travel may be subject to exceptions to the standard 100ml limit. Please have these ready to present separately at checkpoints.
Hand bag
Pack a supply of diapers, a change of clothes, wipes, necessary medications, food, and supplies in case of delays. Keep your child's documents with the caregiver's documents.

Checklist before going to the airport
- Please check the baggage assigned to your child in your booking confirmation.
- Add the luggage you need before the price increases or online purchase ends.
- Confirm the number of free baby items.
- Label the stroller, car seat and covers with your name and phone number.
- Bring your child's travel document and any required consents, if needed.
- Prepare food and medications to be presented separately during the inspection.
- Ask at check-in where to drop off and pick up your stroller.
- Arrive early – traveling with a child may extend check-in and security checks.

Frequently asked questions
Does the stroller fly free of charge?
Most often, yes, if an infant or child is traveling with them. However, the number of free items and the method of shipment depend on the carrier.
Can I use the stroller until I board the plane?
This is often possible, but depends on the airport and the staff's decision. The stroller must be marked and ready to be folded. Sometimes, it must be returned at check-in.
Does the child have their own hand luggage?
This depends on age, carrier, fare, and whether the child has their own seat. An infant traveling on a lap typically does not receive the same allowance as an adult.
Can baby milk be more than 100 ml?
Food and milk needed by a child during travel may benefit from an exception to the standard fluid allowance. These must be declared and presented at security.
Where do I pick up my stroller upon arrival?
Depending on the airport, you can either check in at the departure gate, on the regular conveyor belt, or at the oversized baggage desk. It's best to ask about this when checking in.
